Before tinplate cans are printed in color, tin manufacturers need to print the printed area white, because white is the basic color of all colors, printing white and then printing color can better highlight the color. Due to the effect of ink coverage, it is often necessary for the monochrome machine to perform secondary whitening, and the whiteness can reach about 80%. Moreover, white paint is required to have a good binding force with tinplate cans and withstand high temperature baking without discoloration.

Tinplate cans have higher requirements for color printing. In addition to requiring a high degree of water resistance for pigments, the tinting strength and durability of pigments are also relatively high. In addition to the characteristics of ordinary offset inks, It has heat resistance, because the surface of the tin can does not penetrate moisture, so the ink is heat-fixed and needs to be baked at a high temperature.

Because the surface of tinplate can't permeate water, the tin manufacturer needs to be equipped with a drying room in the printing process. The printing ink needs to be baked at a high temperature in order to fully integrate with the surface. It is insoluble in water and does not adsorb solvent. This is also the tinplate can printing. The biggest difference in other offsets is also a problem we need to pay special attention to. So the tinplate can printing line will be longer than other offset printing
